Telemedicine Policy Update - The past, present, and future of the regulation of telemedicine.

In this session we review and discuss current, changing, and future legal and regulatory requirements applicable to telemedicine and the expansion of telemedicine. The session will include and focus on COVID-19 and Medicare reimbursement, licensure and prescribing issues, the fraud and abuse focus of the Office of Inspector General, and the continued emergence of telemedicine in clinical trials.

Guest Speaker:
Monica R. Chmielewski is a partner and health care and life sciences lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. She focuses her practice solely in representing health care providers, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, and pharmacies in the area of health care, health care transactions, clinical research, supply chain, and food and drug law. Monica is co-chair of the firm’s Life Sciences Industry Team. She is also vice chair of the firm's Health Care Industry Team.
